These last few years have witnessed an important change in the discipline of prosthodontics and in dental laboratory techniques.

Preparatory procedures with approaches which are minimally invasive, adhesive techniques and the use of stereomicroscopy have led to results, which until today were considered unthinkable in terms of benefits to patients.

Personally I feel that the concept of inter-active exchange between the prosthodontist and the dental technician is important.

Exchange intended as observation and study of forms and microforms, where colour as related to form, as well as the sex, age and personality of every single patient is considered essential.

It is through the search for that perfect imperfection of nature that a less stereotyped concept of aesthetics can be reached.
